(diphenhydramine)

Use to relieve:

• Itching and discomfort: 25 to 50 mg taken every six hours.

Children’s use: 5 mg per kg body weight per day divided every six to eight hours for symptoms.

Side effects and precautions: drowsiness, headache, dizziness, dry mouth. Not to be used for newborns, asthma attacks, breast feeding, glaucoma, and heart disease (see package insert for complete list of side effects and contraindications).
