Cefuroximina

(Cefuroximmine)

Use to relieve:

• Traveler’s Diarrhea in pregnancy: 250–500 mg twice daily for five days.

Children’s use: Ceftin does not exist for children. Use ampicillin instead – 30 mg of ampicillin per kg body weight divided twice daily.

Side effects and precautions: nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, rash, and yeast infections. Not to be taken by persons allergic to penicillin (see package insert for complete list of side effects and contraindications).
