Use to relieve
- Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever: Take 100 mg every 12 hours. Continue for seven to 10 days or until fever has subsided for three days and there is obvious physical recovery.
- Chlamydia infections: Take 100 mg twice daily for seven days.
- Syphillis:* Take 100 mg twice daily for 14 days.
Children’s use: 4 mg per kg body weight per day in two divided doses for children under 100 lbs. Not recommended in children under eight years of age.
Side effects and precautions: abdominal discomfort and dizziness. Not to be used in pregnancy (see package insert for complete list of side effects and contraindications).
