(metronidazole)
Use to relieve:
- Trichomonas, vaginal infections, intestinal bacterial infections. For any of the above, take two grams once or 500 mg twice daily for seven days.
Children’s use: Infants and children may be given 30 mg per kg body weight per day divided into two doses daily.
Side effects and precautions: nausea, vomiting, indigestion, diarrhea, dry mouth, dizziness, and confusion. Not to be used in the first trimester of pregnancy (see package insert for complete list of side effects and contraindications).
