(Permethrin shampoos, 1%)
Use to relieve:
Scabies/Lice: Apply to washed and towel-dried hair, saturating hair and scalp; allow to remain on hair for 10 minutes, then rinse; remove nits with comb, repeat after seven days if living lice are still observed. Wash all bedding and clothing.
Children’s use: Not recommended in children under two months. The 5% cream has been used safely in children older than two months of age. It can be used head to toe and washed off in 8–10 hours. May repeat in 7 days.
Side effects and precautions: skin irritation, dyspnea. Do not use if allergic to pyrethrins group of medications, or to chrysanthemum plants; avoid putting near eyes.
