Use to Prevent:
Asthma attacks, Chronic Lung Disease and bronchitis: Take 2 puffs every four to six hours as needed for shortness of breath and wheezing. For nebulized solution: Use 2.5 mg in 3 cc of normal saline every four to six hours as needed. May be used 15 minutes prior to exertion in exercise-induced asthma.
NOTE: Not for treatment of asthma attack
Children’s use: For children over four years of age, same dose as for adults.
Side effects and precautions: headache, throat irritation, nasal congestion, palpitations, and agitation. Use with caution in cardiovascular disease and high blood pressure (see package insert for complete list of side effects and contraindications).
