Rickie Redland - Knee Arthroscopy Surgery Testimonial
In mid-February, I flew to Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico to have arthroscopic surgery on my knee. I am a long distance ultra runner from Salida, Colorado. I run 100 and 50 mile races such as the Leadville 100, Bighorn 100, Wasatch 100, Bear 100 and Hardrock 100. All of these multiple times in the past. Through the years, these races have taken their toll my knees and finally it was time to do something about it. I was immediately impressed with Dr. Max Greig, my surgeon in PV, Mexico. His training in Guadalajara as well as Germany and his dual citizenship with the US and Mexico all relieved me of all pre-surgery anxiety. Not only did my husband and I have an excellent vacation exploring the coast of Jalisco and Nayarit, Mexico before the surgery, I literally walked out of the hospital the evening after the surgery and resumed our exploration the day after.
The effect of the surgery on my knee became perceivable almost immediately. It was difficult to restrain my activities according to the doctors orders because my knee felt so much better. Gradually I have resumed my training to a level necessary to someday participate in my sport of passion, ultra-running. When I am not out training for some future trail race, my husband and I spend hours in the mountains of Colorado hiking and climbing. If it were not for Robert Page (MedToGo) for pointing me to Dr Max Greig and the overall superior surgery and care, I would not be where I am today, at the top of these Rocky Mountains.
