There are two sections of the medical portion of this book: health-related symptoms, signs, or complaints and basic overviews of common medical conditions.

The guide will help you identify symptoms and recognize when they may warrant medical attention. Often a symptom will lead you to listings in the medical conditions portion of the book, where you may obtain further information and treatment guidelines.
